For those interested in basketball league standings:
Each weekend approximately 130 basketball games are played throughout the Diocese of Metuchen.
The official league standings are posted online as soon as we collect and sort them from all twenty four game locations.
If current standings are not viewable on the website it is because some of the site managers have not yet sent in the game results from their gyms.
(Site managers have been requested to email all of the most up to date standings to League Director, Bob Berger, every Saturday night following game play.)
To prevent confusion and complaint calls incomplete standings grids will not be posted.
Game scores will never be posted.
It is not consistent with the philosophy of the Diocesan Basketball League to embarass any kids for any reason. Some teams win some games and others do not. That is the nature of sports.
The most important question in this league is to ask:
Has each player, coach, and team performed honorably and strived to glorify God with hard work and conscientious use of the talents and gifts with which they have been blessed? The philosphy of this league is to build the Kingdom of God one player and one game at a time.
